Event Safety & Crowd Management
 

To ensure the safety of all guests and maintain full compliance with FAA Part 107.39, we adhere to the following protocols during live events:
 

  • Operations Over People: We do not fly directly over unprotected people. Aerial captures are strategically planned to fly over "set-back" areas, buffers, or specifically designated safe zones to get the best angles without compromising guest safety.

  • Sustained Flight: Direct flight over open-air assemblies is restricted unless specific safety mitigations (such as Category-rated aircraft or FAA waivers) are in place.

  • Indoor Venues: For indoor events, GPS-based flight is often restricted. We conduct a pre-event site survey to determine if the ceiling height and lighting are suitable for safe indoor flight.

  • Guest Notification: We recommend including a brief note in your event program or signage stating that professional aerial photography will be in progress.

FAA Compliance & Authorization
 

All flights are conducted by an FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot. While we handle all necessary LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability) requests, some locations near airports or restricted landmarks may require additional processing time (up to 90 days) for federal approval.
 

Weather Minimums
To ensure the safety of guests and property, as well as the quality of your footage, we do not operate in the following conditions:

  • Precipitation: Any active rain, snow, or heavy mist.

  • Wind: Sustained winds or gusts exceeding 20 mph.

  • Visibility: Less than 3 statute miles as reported by the nearest local airport.

  • Temperature: Extreme cold (below 0°F) or heat (above 104°F) that exceeds equipment operating limits.
     

Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Weather Decisions: The pilot-in-command (PIC) has final authority on whether a flight can safely proceed. Decisions are typically made 24 hours prior to the assignment based on the aviation forecast.

  • Complimentary Rescheduling: If the FAA or weather conditions prohibit flight, we will work with you to reschedule your session at the next available opportunity at no additional cost.
